Heartbeat from Sweden

We’ve been quiet – awfully quiet – on this blog and elsewhere for the past couple of months. While this post is not the announcement of a general public availability of Polar Rose, several people have been asking us for an update, a heartbeat from Sweden. ;-)

In short, we’ve spent the dark winter months of Scandinavia crouched over our keyboards and screens getting ready to go from private to public beta, a process which admittedly has taken longer than anticipated. However, every unexpected turn has enriched us as a company and the product that we will be sharing with you soon.

So we’re here, we working hard and more than anything we want to share our achievements with each of you!

So, when will the public beta be available? After all the light and life has returned to Sweden and there are many new photos awaiting “polarosation”.

  2. Anthony Says:

Yes, please give a date of release? :)

This has been one of the most anticipated new technologies i have wanted to test out for months now!

    Only 2 comments so far?
Surely interest has not declined just because of some silence…..

I honestly cant wait for the announcement!
Perhaps i will begin collecting some photos to keep ready for the day…

  4. Jens Says:

Yes, please give us the release date :)
I’m looking forward to use it!

  5. Daniel Says:

Yes, guve the release date please! =D

  6. Slavcho Says:

They don’t give you a date. Because they don’t have the technology yet. Maybe about 1 or 2 years from now :)

  7. Alzamiky Says:

I believe they have the technology, but what happens with the this kind of advanced technology, the company have to study all aspects of the project, including the legal one, because once the company runs their software online, law suits can be filed against them by different interested parties.

I wish Polar Rose the best of luck.

Well, hurry up! You can’t make an announcement to the world that you’re about to release a product then wait 6-12 months to release it. You loose all media momentum, the bigger guys get a jump on releasing a similar product ahead of you, etc. Put the vodka down, and get scripting! :-)

  9. Chuck P Says:

Never mind, I see the reason for the delay. They’ve contracted out their work to programmers in Poland. It’s gonna be a while…

  10. James Says:

Shit man what, Q1 is gone….. bad experience no release. Hurry up!!!!! as you promised

[...] We have canceled out our management-by-vodka program as a consequence of Chuck’s comment to our previous post. Thank you so much for that one Chuck, it made everybody here spill their drinks and gasp for air laughing. :o) [...]

This photo/peole-(goo***-like)-thing is a very good idea.
The world wide web needs it!
It’s okay if it takes you some more time, because the increasing feeling of “looking forwards to the release” makes the final release more (I don’t know a word, strong enough to express ist. Maybe fantastc.) satisfying.

I hope you ‘ll be ready soon.

    Greetings form Germany!

  13. John Pierson Says:

    Gentlemen,
I am looking forward to trying your product.
My particular interest is in the area of genealogy
and old family pictures. Thank you for offering
    a free release.

This looks fantastic and we look forward to integrating it into our mobile solution. We are expecting to launch on June 17th so if an API to test is ready it would make our photo – images section very interesting!
