I'm thinking that the privacy features are in there, you can mark an image as inappropriate - but still waiting on the search agents, thats the most important part. In fact the search agents is what everybody wants, nobody wants to just label images and do a name search in hopes that others have labeled faces of interest to you - that would be fine if I was interested in finding images of George Bush, but I'm not - I want to find images of my long lost buddy Dan Whats-His-name.

I'm new to Polar Rose, so sorry if I'm missing something obvious. For me, Polar Rose is working kind of un-determined. Sometimes, the roses appear, sometimes they don't. Take for example http://www.kiesler.at/album244.html , right now I have 8 Roses there, which is fine. Three faces seem to be too small. Now, also bigger versions of the pictures work -- a few days ago, they did not. And I didn't change my configuration.

The next thing I noticed: At the bottom of the page, there's a number of strings "text" written. They are partially overlapping and seem to equal the number of found roses.

Finally, Polar Rose doesn't seem to like the "Fuller Screen" Firefox extension. If I have it turned on, Polar Rose does not show its Roses.

akurime: Manually adding roses to missed faces is something we are looking into. Regarding old photos, gray scale images is not a problem but image quality could be. We are also not detecting faces smaller than 20 pixels wide.

Updated but still having issues.

Doesn't seem to work well with old photos. See website here for example http://familyhistorysearch.wordpress.com/

maybe install a right click feature to add a rose to a face it doesn't recognize?
