Outages over the next days…

We’ll be experiencing some smaller outages to both the Polar Rose website and plugin over the next three days as we do some upgrades. Thanks for your patience.


Update: First stage is done. We have a new plugin out for all beta-users. Tell your Firefox to search for updates or restart your IE to get it. Hope you like it! More to come in the next few days…

    No changelog… Releasing beta’s without a changelog is rather pointless.

    WOW! Automated Matching is here! If you tag a face in one picture, and visit a similar or identical picture through your browser, it shows that you tagged that picture too!

    Very cool. I wonder how sensitive this is. Will it work for faces other users tagged, or just faces I tagged?

    It looks like it mostly just works for exact matches or exact copies of pictures. Still very cool.

    Idea:
    Have you ever tried to make a “hot or not” algorithm?
    The user could vote for hot or not (better stars 1-5) and according to the rating it’s calculated into the average hot, or into the average “not hot” face.

    Hi Guru folks,
    What I was hoping to do is match a face I have with one that is potentially out there on the internet somewehre, not by someone’s name. Is this possible. I’m trying to bust a scam operation ring who are using peoples pictures to lure women into online relationships and then ask them for money. Can anyone help me here? I save the picture of the individual they are using.
