New results and privacy options

New result pages
We have made an update to the way we show search results. Instead of the stacks previously used we are now showing results in a single page grouped according to duplicates instead. The page is without pagination and you can simply keep on appending more results by clicking the button at the end of the list. You can now also subscribe to results using RSS (like this).

Privacy options
As promised in response to your feedback, users now have the option of hiding their found page. We are also not showing usernames on the recently found page. To hide your found page, simply go to the settings page and mark the tick box.

Privacy options doesn’t work for me. I’ve checked “Make my collections private (not visible to other users)” in my Settings but it still shows people I’ve added in the search result for other searchers.

@Ilya: After checking the privacy option, your found page, (in my case this is http://www.polarrose.com/user/jes/found/) should not be accessible for others. People you have named still show up in searches (that’s the whole point) but it does not say anywhere that it was you who named that person.

  3. Ilya Says:

@Jan Erik Solem: I want to completely remove people I’ve added from public search results.

@Ilya: Then why did you name them?

  5. ilya Says:

I’s my mistake. I didn’t check options (that I’ve thought you had) that would allow me to make them private.

I, myself, dont see any need to hide my found page, nor would it bother me that people would know that i added specific photos here.

but i can understand that some people want this feature, and i think its great that feedback gets this kind of attention here.

but a good question came up here:
is there a way of deleting tagged photos?
because it happens to me all the time that people use my PC, and then play around with things they dont know (such as the polar rose plugin).
messing up the system with wrong data is the last thing i want to do here,
so an option to remove wrong tagged photos would be great.

    Hi!
I dont understand this page.. Someone has tagged me in few photos, but i dont want it- is there any way how to delete all that pictures and find out, who was so “friendly” to me??

Is the Polar Rose project still alive? It seems like an awful amount of time from update to update. At this rate, this will be a real market competitor sometime the next millenium.
